
Launched by: The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
When: The fifth phase was launched around 22 September 2025, coinciding with the start of Sharadiya Navratri. It’s a month‑long campaign.
Purpose / Goals: To strengthen women’s safety, dignity and empowerment across UP. � especially focusing on protection, respect, legal rights, self‑reliance, awareness, policing presence, etc.
🔧 Key Features / Measures
1. Deployment of female police personnel across many village panchayats and urban wards to outreach and awareness efforts.
Strengthening public safety with increased police patrols (foot, vehicles like PRV‑112), special focus during festivals and large gatherings.
Activation of Mission Shakti Centres in all police stations (1,647 PS) throughout the state, with manuals, SOPs, awareness material, and “Sashakt Nari, Samradh Pradesh” folder.
Use of awareness programs: screening films, sessions in schools/colleges/districts, legal aid especially to vulnerable women.
Anti‑Romeo Squads to act against offenders, ensuring sensitivity in enforcement.
